The Spokesman and Deputy Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs at the United States Department of State, Tom Casey yesterday stated that the U.S. opposes Serbian local elections being held in Kosovo on May 11.
In a press conference, Casey said, “We expect the Serbian government to limit its electoral activities to Serbia. And we believe that the Kosovo authorities are those that are responsible for calling and holding elections in Kosovo.”
The Republic Electoral Commission has decided that there will be 279 polling stations in Kosovo for the parliamentary and local elections on May 11.
