Belgrade: While addressing a meeting, Dusan Prorokovic, Serbian State Secretary for Kosovo-Metohija said that Serbia is getting ready to compromise and a prompt deal with ethnic Albanians from Kosovo-Metohija on the subject of the province’s future outlook.
As said by Mr. Prorokovic, the level of cooperation will rely on the very course of discussions and racial Albanians’ position that’s why Serbia wants to heed what degree of compromise they would consent to as soon as possible.
He added that as for the Serbian government, this stage is Serbia’s dominion on the Kosovo-Metohija’s territory.
“We are offering ethnic Albanians the opportunity to influence the economic and business development in the province, in which process they will have Serbia’s wholehearted assistance, and the possibility to manage their own resources and their internal organization,” said Prorokovic.
He emphasized that racial Albanians in the region may also have the right to individual depiction in certain sports and ethnical organizations, like the Faroe Islands have within Denmark or Scotland within Great Britain.
It would be an internationally guaranteed autonomy which no one in the region enjoys. However, there is a limit to our compromise and that is the framework for the talks – Serbia’s territorial sovereignty and integrity in the entire territory of Kosovo-Metohija, emphasised Prorokovic and added that this is the minimum below which Serbia will not go in the course of the talks with ethnic Albanians.
