Prague Recognizes Kosovo’s Unilateral Declaration Of Independence

Prague: The Foreign Minister of the Czech Republic, Miroslav Topolanek yesterday announced that his country has recognized the Kosovo Albanians’ unilateral declaration of independence.
The announcement by Topolanek was made in a news conference in Prague on Wednesday, 21 May 2008. The Czech Republic had kept its decision pending since last month.
Pristina had passed a declaration of secession on Feb. 17, but it was annulled by Serbia, saying it was illegal.
