Moscow Warns Against Transfer Of UNMIK Powers To EULEX

Moscow: The Russian Foreign Ministry yesterday sent strong warning against any transfer of UNMIK’s authority to the EU mission, saying it would contravene international law.
Boris Malakhov, the Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman said in Moscow that if reports that authority and property were being handed over by the mission to EULEX were confirmed, these moves would be in violation of UN Security Council Resolution 1244 and “must be stopped immediately”.
