Pristina: Loads of opinions and views were expressed when the Serbian President Boris Tadic yesterday arrived in Kosovo to attend midnight Easter liturgy in High Decani monastery in Kosovo.

The Kosovo Albanian authorities view this visit as a political provocation. But, the UNMIK considers Tadi?’s visit to be private and in line with normal procedure. The fact that is particularly disturbing Pristina is that the president’s security includes members of the Serbian police, MUP. On that the UNMIK police say this, too, is in line with normal procedure.

On Saturday, Kosovo Premier Hashim Thaci stated that Tadic is “the first president of a country to visit the independent and sovereign state of Kosovo”. He said, Tadic will make history as the president of Serbia who recognized the new reality in Kosovo.”

Meanwhile, Kosovo police, KPS, said they “cannot prevent the Serbian police escort, since UNMIK allowed it”.
