Meeting On Kosovo Resolution On July 19
By Nebojsa.Nikitin on Jul 14, 2007 in Belgrade, Kosovo
Belgrade: Serbian Minister for Kosovo-Metohija Slobodan Samardzic declared that talks on a new resolution on Kosovo-Metohija that parliament should accept will be declared on Thursday, July 19.
Samardzic narrated that that after the two-day discussions with opponent group that are due to have effect at the end of the next week, the text of the declaration will be submitted before parliament on July 24, even though remarks of opposite parties are not followed.
He said that the ruling coalition parties have reached an agreement about the resolution text, and it remains to be seen whether the final draft of the document can fulfill the annotations of opposition groups.
Mentioning that it is unfeasible that 100% MPs back up the decision, the Minister stated that the chance was given even to those who go up against the acceptance of this document to show their opinions.
Yesterday, Samardzic declared the first round with opposite parties in parliament, namely with the Serbian Radical Party (SRS), Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS), Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) and parties of national minorities.
