Belgrade: Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica stated that novel discussions with new mediators open the prospect of achieving a compromise resolution for Kosovo-Metohija that would gratify both Serbia’s vital interests and those of the racial Albanian minority in the region.
In a statement, Kostunica said that during the new talks, Serbia and Russia will again advocate the combined principled strategy based on the reverence of essential principles of international law.
The Prime Minister stressed out it is vital that more UN Security Council member states, in addition to more European states, back up this plan to get to a cooperate solution on the province’s future position.
