10 dead in crash of private plane in Guatemala

Guatemala City - At least 10 people including five US citizens died in the crash of a private plane Sunday in eastern Guatemala, Guatemalan aviation authorities said.
Four other passengers from the United States survived and were hospitalized with serious injuries.
The plane had taken off from Guatemala City and was bound for el Estor on the Caribbean before the crash in Cabanas, about 100 kilometres east of the capital.
The pilot and co-pilot were reported among the dead.
The passengers were described as tourists. (dpa)
