Dubai – A Sudanese aircraft reportedly hijacked with more than 80 passengers aboard landed in Libya, the al-Jazeera news agency reported. The plane was hijacked while flying from Nyala in the troubled Darfur Province to Khartoum, the al-Arabiya broadcaster reported Tuesday.
The broadcaster said a man had initially ordered the pilot to fly to France but had subsequently agreed to head for a Libyan airport to refuel.
Further developments are as of yet unclear. (dpa)
