New Citroen C3 to debut in Frankfurt

Paris – French car maker Citroen will debut a new C3 at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September this year with several improvements including a second generation start-stop system with brake energy regeneration.
The model range is to start with the 73 hp engine with a completely new 1-litre engine with 70 and 100 hp to be launched in 2011. Compared to the predecessor model the new C3 is about 8 cm longer at 2.54 metres, giving it more interior and luggage space.
The previous 1.1-litre 60 hp engine will no longer be available because of the extra weight of the new model. The new C3 shares the platform and technology of the Peugeot 207 in the same concern. dpa rg pmc Sent via WebAccess by McCarthyP MEZ 13-05-2009_16:18 (dpa)
