Magnus Moan beats Kircheisen in Nordic combined

Whistler, Canada – Norway’s Magnus Moan swept to first place Saturday in a Nordic combined skiing World Cup event on the Whistler venues being prepared for the 2010 games.
Second place went to Germany’s Bjoern Kircheisen, who followed in 0.4 seconds after a dramatic sprint after 10 kilometres. Third place went to Bill Demong of the United States.
Fourth place went to Finland’s Annssi Kouivuranta, who leads in the World Cup. (dpa)
