U.S. Women Hit By Facebook Addiction

The news.com au has reported on Sunday that nearly 33% of young American women enter their Facebook account prior to brushing their teeth or going to the bathroom in the mornings on regular basis.The novel research outlines that women in the age bracket of 18 and 34 are being the victims of addiction for social networking sites and are witnessed to becoming highly dependent on technology and social networking sites like facebook, twitter, etc.
The study involved 1,600 plus American social media users being surveyed by Oxygen Media in a view to discern the present online behavioral trends.
The data compiled shows that nearly 20% reported that they even woke up in the middle of the sleep in a view to see their wall postings and reply them, tweets and texts. In addition, a shocking 37% admitted to have sometimes fallen asleep with their phones in their hands.
Also, it outlined that 63% of the respondents involved used Facebook for their social networking, with nearly 50% showing no issues from posting photos of their drunken selves on the site.
While, a 79% posted to be comfortable with posting their kissing photos on Facebook; 58% use Facebook to keep tabs on “frenemies”; and 50% reported to be fine with being Facebook friends with strangers.
