Belgrade: Velimir Ilic, the New Serbia leader and the current Minister of Infrastructure in the cabinet of Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica, said yesterday that any chance of a post-election deal with the Democrats (DS) disappeared with their decision to sign the Stabilization and Association Agreement.
Ilic said “as far as NS is concerned, the signing of the SAA means the end of any cooperation with them [DS].” He said, “Our condition is that post-election coalitions cannot be negotiated with traitors who violate the constitution and sell out Kosovo and Metohija.”
He stated that only talks with other parties, primarily those who wish to preserve Kosovo as a part of Serbia, will take place after the elections. He said that their so-called People’s Coalition will seek a partner to form the next government in the Radicals (SRS). He said, “The Radicals, why not. We can keep Kosovo and Metohija in Serbia with them.”
