Real Madrid deal on Kaka “closed”

Madrid  – Brazilian playmaker is about to leave AC Milan for Real Madrid, according to reports on Wednesday in the Spanish media.

Madrid sports daily Marca gives complete details of Tuesday’s meeting in Madrid between new Real president Florentino Perez and Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani, claiming that the deal “was closed” with a transfer fee of 65 million euros (92.34 million dollars).

Marca claims that Kaka, 27, will sign a five-year contract with Real, and will be presented to the media next week.

Barcelona paper Mundo Deportivo, for its part, claims that the transfer fee will be 75 million euros, and that Kaka will earn around nine million euros per season, which will make him one of the highest-paid players in the world.

AS, however, suggests that the Kaka deal has been slowed up because of the interest of Chelsea – now coached by former Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti – in the Brazilian star.

AS also claims that Perez and Real general director Jorge Valdano are debating whether to go for Euro 2008 top scorer David Villa, of cash-strapped Valencia, or Liga top scorer Diego Forlan of Atletico Madrid.

Perez said during his investment on Monday that he wanted to sign “several top-quality players… in the month of June.” (dpa)
