Serbia’s Electoral Commission (RIK) Releases Voter Tally

Belgrade: Serbia’s Electoral Commission (RIK) yesterday released voter tally, according to which, there are total 6,747,867 registered voters in Serbia, and there are a total of 91,639 registered voters in Kosovo.
According to RIK, the list of voters was confirmed on April 25 at midnight, and additions can be made only by a court decision until May 8. The final list will be announced after midnight on May 8.
The commission passed a decision to publish the total number of voters for the election of parliamentary officials in municipalities in Kosovo and the city of Pristina, and proclaimed four more election lists with parliamentary candidates.
According to the official reports, a total of RSD 57,086,000 (EUR 7.1mn) will be secured from the budget in order to implement local elections in the territory of Kosovo. Serbia will hold parliamentary and local elections on May 11.
