Belgrade: Acting in response to the Czech Republic’s recognition of Kosovo’s unilateral independence, the Serbian Foreign Ministry yesterday recalled Serbia’s ambassador to the Czech Republic.
Sending a protest note to the Czech government, the ministry stated that in accordance with the Action Plan adopted by the government earlier this year, Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic had instructed the immediate recall of Serbian Ambassador Vladimir Veres from the Czech Republic.
The ambassador is due to leave the country within 48 hours from the delivery of the Foreign Ministry’s protest note, and to return to Serbia for further consultations.
