GIK Reveals Official Belgrade Result

Belgrade: The City Electoral Commission (GIK) yesterday revealed the official Belgrade result. According to GIK, total 911,842 citizens—almost 60 percent of the 1,517,783 registered—voted at the May 11 Belgrade local elections.
GIK reported that total of 354,462 (39.21 percent) voted for the “For a European Serbia” coalition, compared to 316,357 for the Serb Radical Party (SRS) (35 percent).
According to official Belgrade result, the Democratic Party of Serbia-New Serbia (DSS-NS) coalition received 100,459 votes (11.11 percent), followed by the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) with 62,419 votes (6.91 percent), and the Socialist Party of Serbia-Party of United Pensioners of Serbia-United Serbia (SPS-PUPS-JS) with 47,266 votes (5.23 percent).
