Serbia Would Enter The EU With Kosovo: Velimir Ilic

Belgrade: Velimir Ilic, the New Serbia (NS) leader and the current Minister of Infrastructure in the Serbian government, cabinet of Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica, yesterday said that the new parliament won’t ratify the SAA with the EU after the elections should Deputy PM Bozidar Delic go ahead and sign it.
In an interview, Ilic said, “If Delic does this, he will have to be held accountable, because the future parliament will not ratify this agreement. I am certain that parliamentary majority necessary for its ratification will not be secured, because it does not clearly state that Serbia will enter the EU with Kosovo as its constituent part.”
The New Serbia leader said that the DSS-NS coalition would want Serbia to join the EU, and that it “would not oppose the signing of the Stabilization and Association Agreement,” provided it was clearly defined that Serbia would enter the EU with Kosovo.
