The Radicals (SRS), DSS-NS and Socialists (SPS) have reached an agreement that will make Aleksandar Vucic (SRS) the new mayor of Belgrade. It will be officially announced on Thursday.
According to media reports, joint SRS-DSS-NS-SPS news conference will be scheduled for 14:00 CET Thursday in Belgrade’s Holiday Inn Hotel. The three sides also arrived at an agreement on program principles and continuation of talks.
DSS spokesman Andreja Mladenovi? said that his party has decided to back Vucic when the voting at the city assembly takes place. The coalition gathered around the Democrats (DS) won the most votes in the local elections last Sunday, but not an outright majority necessary to make their candidate the new Belgrade mayor.
