Yesterday, a financial memorandum, which implies that Slovakia will set aside €1.9 million for Serbia, was signed by Serbian Minister of Finance Mirko Cvetkovic and Slovak Ambassador to Serbia Igor Furdik.
In a statement, Cvetkovic stated that Slovakia will set aside these funds for projects to develop technical infrastructure in Serbia and help Serbia on its road to EU integration.
Signed between the Serbian and Slovak governments, the memorandum is the framework of financial management for the support to the implementation of the Agreement on Development Cooperation.
So far four financial memoranda have been signed through which Serbia received €5 million and which supported projects related to environmental protection, health and social care, traffic and improvement of local infrastructure, as well as the transfer of experiences and support to Serbia’s integration processes through public administration training.
