Belgrade: Serbian Foreign Minister, Vuk Jeremic yesterday stated that the ambassadors recalled to Belgrade for consultations could return to their posts in the autumn.
Jeremic explained that Serbia was currently leaving no stone unturned to prevent Kosovo from joining any international organizations, and trying to limit the number of countries recognizing “the illegal declaration of Kosovo’s independence.”
He said, “As long as we are engaged in preventing the recognition of Kosovo’s illegal independence declaration, I would not advise the government to return its ambassadors.”
In September, at the UN General Assembly, Jeremic said, Serbia would propose a resolution to seek the opinion of the International Court of Justice over Kosovo’s unilateral independence. “In the General Assembly every country has a vote. I think that we can win a vote there,” He said.
