Belgrade: Serbia’s Electoral Commission (RIK) has ordered re-voting at three polling stations on May 18, because of irregularities on May 11.

Belgrade: According to RIK, with 97.84 percent of votes counted, the “For a European Serbia” list will have 102 seats in the new parliament, the SRS 77, the DSS-NS 30, the Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS)-Associated Pensioners’ Party (PUPS)-United Serbia (JS) coalition will have 20 seats, and the LDP 14.

The NATO Secretary-General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer said in Madrid yesterday that Spain’s decision not to recognize Kosovo will not stop it from participating in KFOR – Kosovo Force, the NATO-led international force responsible for establishing a safe and secure environment in Kosovo.

The Electoral Commission (RIK) of Serbia, confirming the final voter tally, stated that 6,749,688 citizens are registered to vote in the coming elections on 11 May, 2008.

Belgrade: Saying the document is “a forgery and a trick,” Vojislav Kostunica yesterday once again denounced the signing of the Stabilization and Association Agreement (SAA) with the European Union. He said, “at least ten provision of the document order Serbia to establish good neighborly relations with Kosovo”.

Belgrade: The Demokratska Stranka (DS) yesterday rejected the claim that the SAA contains an undisclosed annex that will have Serbia renounce a part of its territory as “Pure Lie”.

The ideas launched outside the mandate regulated by UN Resolution 1244 “will not be successful”, said the Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Friday. He said the policy that pushed for the creation of the armed forces in the territory of Kosovo “will not be a success either”.
