Belgrade: The president of the National Council for Cooperation with the Hague Tribunal,  has said that it is still early to say whether Radovan Karadzic’s arrest can reveal the whereabouts of Ratko Mladic, the Chief of Staff of the Army of Republika Srpska (the Bosnian Serb Army) during the Bosnian War of 1992-1995.

The European Commission stated yesterday that Radovan Karadzic’s extradition was an important step towards the Serbia-European Union cooperation.

The former Bosnian Serb politician, poet and psychiatrist, Radovan Karadzic has been extradited to the Hague Tribunal. The news has been confirmed by the Hague spokesperson Nerma Jelacic this morning.

Belgrade: The protest rally by the opponents of Radovan Karadzic’s arrest, organized by the opposition Serb Radical Party (SRS), started at 19:20 CET, yesterday. Some one hundred young masked hooligans clashed with police around 22:00 CET, on the fringes of a protest rally.

Belgrade: The postponement of the Belgrade assembly session scheduled for today was agreed by the senior officials of the party groups. The meeting today was aimed to elect the city’s executive government, including mayor.
