Belgrade: The Serbian expats, who are eligible to vote, are today casting their ballots in four states, one day ahead of the elections in the country.

Belgrade: There was a significant rise in the value of both indexes for the second day in a row, reported the Belgrade Stock Exchange (BSE) yesterday. The BELEX15 closed almost 4.5 % up, while the BELEXline gained over 3 % on Friday.

The NATO Secretary-General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer said in Madrid yesterday that Spain’s decision not to recognize Kosovo will not stop it from participating in KFOR – Kosovo Force, the NATO-led international force responsible for establishing a safe and secure environment in Kosovo.

Georgia “has no intention to recognize the unilateral declaration of Kosovo’s independence” – asserted the Georgia’s President Mikhail Saakashvili on Thursday.

The Electoral Commission (RIK) of Serbia, confirming the final voter tally, stated that 6,749,688 citizens are registered to vote in the coming elections on 11 May, 2008.
